What the lesson covers

  1. 0:00Money Flow Index is RSI with one thing added back: volume.
  2. 0:05The construction. Take the typical price, multiply by volume, then split it into up days and down days.
  3. 0:14What that buys you. A rally on light volume scores lower than the same rally on heavy volume.
  4. 0:23The divergence that matters. New highs in price with falling money flow says the buying is thinning out.
  5. 0:32The limits. It needs reliable volume, so it is unreliable on thin names and fragmented tape.
  6. 0:39When you have good volume data, this is the better oscillator.
