Bring MadStockAlerts into Claude and ChatGPT

Paste one URL. Sign in. Your AI can now run the scanner, read MAD Setups and our premium alerts, pull real-time quotes and technicals, and review your watchlists, all inside the chat you already use.

https://www.madstockalerts.com/api/mcp

Works with ChatGPT, Claude (web, desktop, mobile), Claude Code, and any other MCP-capable app.

Set up

Connect in about a minute

Pick your app. Every path ends the same way: a MadStockAlerts window asks you to approve, and you are connected.

Requires

ChatGPT Plus, Pro, Business, Enterprise or Edu, on the web. Developer mode has to be on once.

  1. 1

In ChatGPT, open Settings, then Security and login, and turn on Developer mode.

  2. 2

Open Plugins (in Settings, or from the sidebar) and click the plus button to add one.

  3. 3

Enter a name, MadStockAlerts, a short description, and the server URL. If it asks how to authenticate, choose OAuth.

    https://www.madstockalerts.com/api/mcp
  4. 4

Create it. ChatGPT reads the server and lists the tools it found, then sends you to MadStockAlerts: sign in if you are not already, then click Connect. It returns to ChatGPT on its own.

  5. 5

Start a chat, switch MadStockAlerts on from the tools menu, and ask a question. Try: "Research NVDA using MadStockAlerts."

What your AI can do

How it stays safe

Built on OAuth, not API keys

One URL, no key

Your AI app registers itself and sends you to MadStockAlerts to approve. Your password never leaves our site, and there is no API key to copy, lose, or leak.

Short-lived tokens

Access tokens expire after an hour and refresh in the background. Refresh tokens rotate on every use; a replayed one disconnects the app.

Disconnect any time

Every connected app is listed on your account page. Disconnect cuts it off within a minute, and so does a lapsed membership.

Your data stays yours

The connector can read market data, our alerts and setups, and your watchlists. It cannot see billing, email settings or anything about other members.

Manage every connection from your account page.

Questions

The short answers

Which plan do I need?

The connector is part of Premium Membership (Full Membership). Analysis Tools Only and Stock Alerts + Tools accounts see the setup page but cannot approve a connection.

Does it work in the Claude and ChatGPT phone apps?

Yes for Claude on iOS and Android once the connector is added from any device. ChatGPT custom apps follow the same account, so an app added on the web is available in the mobile app.

Is my AI now giving me financial advice?

No. Everything the connector returns is educational analysis, and every response carries that disclaimer so the AI keeps the framing. It describes setups, evidence and risk; the decision is yours.

How much can I use it?

As much as a person's research needs: up to 120 tool calls a minute and 3,000 a day per member. That is well beyond what a conversation uses, and enough to stop a runaway loop.

Can I use it from my own code?

Yes. Any MCP client library that speaks Streamable HTTP with OAuth 2.1 (PKCE and dynamic client registration) can connect. Discovery documents are at /.well-known/oauth-protected-resource and /.well-known/oauth-authorization-server.

Educational content only. MadStockAlerts provides market commentary, research, and educational content. It is not personalized investment advice, and nothing here is a recommendation to buy or sell any security. Trading and investing involve substantial risk, including loss of capital. See the Risk Disclosure and Customer Agreement.
