Our detection engine sweeps the entire market

Not a watchlist and not a feeling. Our engine rebuilds every US ticker's daily history after each close and runs sixteen setup detectors across all of it — each one gated on market structure, the prior trend, the depth of the pattern, the volume behind it and a real break of the level, not a one-cent poke through it. Detectors we tested over eight years of data and could not tell apart from the market's own base rate were deleted rather than shipped. Nobody can watch nine thousand tickers. This part is built so nobody has to.

Nothing publishes itself. An analyst pulls the chart, reads the catalyst and the context no scanner can see, and decides whether it is sent. Every premium alert states the entry, the stop concept, the target zone, the catalyst and the time horizon, with the chart context that produced it — approved by an analyst before it sends. Members get all of that the moment it publishes, while the levels are still ahead of the price. Free gets the same alert eventually, in the public record at /performance, after it has closed and there is nothing left to act on. The archived one in the slideshow is shown in full for exactly that reason. The live one beside it keeps its levels masked, because those are what a member is paying for.

What you're missing: the open positions. You can read our closed record any time — but a trade that already finished is history. The alerts running right now, with the levels still in front of them, are members-only, and they are the entire point.

The Setups board as a member sees it: every detected setup scored, with its pattern, the session chart and the move.

One detection engine powers all of it. After each close it rebuilds the daily history of the entire US market and tests every name against sixteen setups — cup and handle, bull and bear flags, double and multiple tops and bottoms, head and shoulders, ascending and descending triangles, 52-week breakouts, held gap-ups, higher-lows trends, golden and death crosses. Each one has to clear five gates before it counts: real swing structure from a volatility-scaled zigzag rather than a three-bar wiggle, a prior trend for a reversal to actually reverse, enough depth to matter as a percentage of price, the classical volume signature, and a break that clears the level by a margin scaled to the stock's own ATR. Anything that cannot clear all five returns nothing, and a quiet chart returning nothing is the most common answer we give. Members get that read three ways: named on the chart in Pattern watch with the level it triggers at, as a whole-market filter in the scanner, and as the first pass that produces the high-confidence candidates an analyst then reviews for a premium alert.

What you're missing: the detection, everywhere it appears. What a member gets is scope. “My Watchlist Only” narrows every ticker-tied surface on the page — the wire and the movers — to the names on your own list, while the macro column deliberately stays whole, because a CPI print does not belong to a ticker and filtering it to a watchlist would filter it to nothing. Most of what moves a name is not on its chart. This is the board of what companies did: who beat and who missed and what the stock did after, who raised or cut guidance, what launched, which FDA decisions have landed and which are still ahead, what was bought and by whom, who is buying back stock, who changed a dividend, and which insiders filed a Form 4 this week. Every headline links out to the filing or release it was read from, so the primary source is one click away rather than somebody's summary of it, and every ticker opens straight into Pro Charting.

What you're missing: the whole board. Free gets the market's news stream, which tells you what was written. This tells you what was FILED, ranked and grouped, with the catalysts that have not happened yet flagged before they do.

Institutional Ownership on a member's watchlist: who bought and sold, where they paid, and one gauge for the pressure.

The institutions have to tell you what they did, one quarter in arrears, and almost nobody reads it. This puts it on the same screen as the chart: the top holders of a name, the biggest position changes quarter on quarter, hedge fund activity separated from the index money, ETF and mutual fund ownership, and the creation and redemption flows that move a stock for reasons that have nothing to do with the company. It is the answer to “who is actually behind this move”, and it is the one question a chart cannot answer.

What you're missing: all of it. Ownership and fund flow data is normally sold as its own subscription, priced for institutions rather than for you, and there is no free version of it here.

It is the research you would otherwise assemble from five tabs and a filing index.

What you're missing: all of it, and not only for free visitors. Company Deep-Dive is one of two surfaces that only Premium Membership includes: the Tools and Alerts plans do not get it at any speed.

Inside, that same record is joined by the half a track record cannot show you: the positions that are still open, with the ticker, the entry, the stop and the target while the levels are still ahead of the price, plus the peak-since-alert on each one and the desk's own notes as it manages them.

What you're missing: the open book. History is the evidence that the process works, and we give it away precisely because it is evidence. But an alert you can read the outcome of is an alert you could not act on — the ones still running are the ones membership actually buys.

The treemap sizes every name by its weight in the index and colors it by its move over the window you pick, so one screen answers whether a green day was the whole market or four mega-caps carrying it. Under it, the sector and industry board rolls the entire US market up by sector, industry, size and country, from one day to one year, with cap-weighted valuations and the rotation cycle diagram that says which part of the cycle those moves belong to. Click any row for the companies inside it. Both pages are free and both stay free — inside, they run on the live feed instead of the delayed one, every tile opens into Pro Charting rather than the basic chart, and the signup furniture is gone.

What you're missing: the fifteen minutes, and where a tile takes you. This is the one section of the tour where we are not holding much back, and we would rather say so than invent a line: go and use them. Paper Trading is one simple simulated brokerage account per member, laid out the way a retail trading app is: the account value with its line over the period you pick, buying power, what is invested and the total return. Pick a stock and its chart, quote and your position sit beside the ticket, where you choose the side, the order type, the time in force and the size, then review it before it is placed. Every holding is tracked with its cost, today's move and its total return, and the history files every order, deposit and cash out. It is where a setup you read about in MAD Academy can be tried without a dollar of your own on it.

Is this just another alert channel?

No, and the difference is the part you can check. An alert channel posts a ticker. A premium alert here carries the entry, the stop concept, the target zone, the catalyst, the time horizon and the chart context — and a human analyst approves it before it sends. Then it goes on the record whether it works or not.

Why should I trust the track record?

Because it is published ungated, before you pay anything. The premium-alert record at /performance is every alert we have closed, in full. Beside it is every ticker we have called out publicly in the last 30 days, with its peak, where it stands now, and its outcome. The losers stay on both lists. Read them first, then decide.

What do I actually get without paying?

More than most sites give away, and we would rather you checked than took our word for it: the full scanner with every preset and filter, charts on any ticker with the quote card and time and sales, the Market Dashboard, the heatmap, groups, insider filings, market news, the setups playbook, and the public track record — every premium alert we have closed, plus the public mentions from the last 30 days. All of it runs about 15 minutes behind the market. Membership removes the delay and adds the alerts.

I already pay for a screener and a charting site. What changes?

What happens on day 5?

When the 5 days end, on the date shown at checkout, in your confirmation email and on your account page, your card is charged the price of the term you picked, $149 per month or $1,099 per year, unless you cancel before then. It then renews at that price until you cancel.

How do I cancel?

On your account page, choose Cancel plan and confirm. Cancel from your account page before the trial ends and you are not charged. Your access runs to the end of the trial either way. You can also email mad@madstockalerts.com, at least 3 days before the trial ends, since an emailed request is handled by hand. After the trial, access runs to the end of the period you have paid for.

Will you remind me?

Yes. We email you a reminder about 3 days before the trial ends, before anything is charged.

What if I forget?

Cancel from your account page as soon as you notice. Within 30 days of your first charge, our 30-day money-back guarantee refunds it, less the non-refundable payment processing fees on that charge; the terms are in the Refund and Cancellation Policy. Renewals are not refundable.
