What the Lesson Covers

  1. 0:00Every indicator on every chart is built from the same four numbers.
  2. 0:05The whole input. Open, high, low, close and volume. That is the entire input. Nothing else goes in.
  3. 0:13So what is an indicator?. An indicator rearranges those numbers. It cannot add information that was never in them.
  4. 0:22Why that still matters. Price already carries what other people did with their information. That is worth reading.
  5. 0:31The claim to be careful with. No indicator has a hit rate on its own. The setup, the market and the exit decide that.
  6. 0:39Read a chart as evidence of behavior, never as a forecast.
