  1. 0:00Ichimoku looks like noise. It is five separate measurements sharing one chart.
  2. 0:05The five parts. Two fast lines, two that form the cloud, and one that plots the close in the past.
  3. 0:15Midpoints, not averages. Each line is the midpoint of a high and a low, not a mean of closes.
  4. 0:24The cloud is projected forward. It is drawn twenty-six bars ahead, so it shows expected support before price arrives.
  5. 0:33The honest caution. The default periods come from a market that traded six days a week. They are conventions.
  6. 0:40Read one line at a time, and start with which side of the cloud price is on.
