  1. 0:00Most indicators only work in one kind of market. ADX tells you which one you are in.
  2. 0:05The reading. It runs from zero upward. Low means no trend; high means a strong one, up or down.
  3. 0:14The mistake. A high ADX in a falling market is a strong downtrend, not a bullish reading.
  4. 0:23How to actually use it. Let it choose the toolkit: trend tools above twenty-five, range tools below twenty.
  5. 0:32The catch. ADX is smoothed twice, so it confirms a trend well after the trend started.
