What the Lesson Covers

  1. 0:00PEG tries to fix the P/E by dividing it by growth. It has a problem.
  2. 0:05The idea. A high multiple is defensible if profit is growing fast. PEG puts that in one number.
  3. 0:14The problem. The denominator is an analyst estimate. Change it slightly and the answer moves a lot.
  4. 0:23Where it breaks completely. Negative or near-zero growth makes it meaningless, and cyclicals swing wildly.
  5. 0:32The honest framing. It is a sanity check on the growth story, not a valuation in itself.
  6. 0:40Interrogate the growth number before trusting the ratio.
