  1. 0:00Leave a portfolio alone and it slowly becomes a bet on whatever won.
  2. 0:05The drift. A sixty-forty portfolio left alone through a long bull market is not sixty-forty.
  3. 0:15Why that is dangerous. Risk is highest exactly when the drift has gone furthest, just before it reverses.
  4. 0:24The two triggers. Rebalance on a date, or when a weight drifts past a band. Bands usually win.
  5. 0:33Why it is hard. It requires selling the thing that is working and buying the thing that is not.
  6. 0:41Set the band, and let the rule do the uncomfortable part.
