Institutional Ownership and Flows
Twelve cards on who owns your names, who changed their mind, what they paid and what trades off-exchange now, each with a bullish or bearish read and a link to its source.
This guide is part of any member plan.
What Is in This Guide
- The holdings derive from Form 13F filings, which are 45 days lagged and long-only; the price, short and off-exchange cards are as of the last close.
- Ownership Pressure is one score per name from -100 to +100, built from five parts, and it ranks names against each other rather than forecasting them.
- Where They Bought estimates the quarter's cost from volume-weighted prices, which says whether holders have a profit to defend or a loss to escape.
- Off-exchange volume from FINRA's daily file is the closest thing to a same-day institutional signal a retail platform can read.
- The kind of manager matters more than the size: index money holds a name because the index does.
- Every manager's name opens the 13F behind its figure, and every ticker opens that company's filings.
